The way most farming is done here. Pretty primitive.

This was the highway into Mandalay after the roads had been flooded. Big trucks were stuck. The road to Mandalay is not for the soft-hearted!

Kate, a member in Mandalay, who acted as an interpreter, was hungry and stopped for a snack: fried crickets!!! She said theywere delicious. I didn't try any.

A bus--small truck with people sitting along each side, crouching in the middle, standing at the back and a few on top!! Buses are really crowded here in Myanmar. All the school buses are trucks, andthe children ride in the back.

Great pictures! It's so nice to see where you are. Looks so exotic :) I would have passed on the crickets too.
Yum Crickets. Also looks like safe transportation.
Woo-hoo! I'm so proud of you for getting this going. Very nice. I love the pictures. It's fun to see you as missionaries with your tags and white shirts. I have a few suggestions for you. You might want to change your setting to allow anonymous comments so that relatives and friends that don't have a blogger account can make comments. Go to settings and the subheading comments and click on the arrow for "who can comment". You'll see your choices. Just save your changes.
As far as pictures, it depends on what you want to do. I've never had much success with left or right formatting so I always choose center. Then, when you are on the screen where you compose your type...you can change to "html edit". When you do that, you see your html code for the photo. I highlight it and right click and cut it. Then I find where I want to put it in the text and put my cursor there and then right click and paste. Then you can switch back to compose mode and see your photo where it is.
If you want to make a caption under the photo, just move your cursor to the line underneath the photo and click on the center text format button (it's just an icon much like word or wordperfect). I usually switch the size to "tiny font" so that no one will confuse it with the body of my text.
That's a lot of information but you can figure it out if you just play around with it. it looks good!
Never mind all of that. How embarassing. You're a beta blogger and should just be able to right click and drag. Jay has a beta blog and I think that's what he does.
